Very strong too, easy to see with a 10x ...........
Can someone post a picture of a "normal" reverse closeup against the "DD" reverse closeup side by side please? It would make identifying the difference for us less experienced collectors mcuh easier. Thanks
Wow... people are still finding these.... I am still looking....lots of 2016D dimes.... none are DDR....and I see that now I need to check the Phillies too....going to the bank and get some rolls....Cheers, RickO

I'll give it a shot. My skills are less than mediocre with phone camera but I'll try to do the side by side:
Updates on 2016-D, DDR hunt: I haven't gone back to the North Clinton First Federal Bank in Defiance, Ohio where I found the 3 DDR's; but shifted my focus to the surrounding First Federal branches in Northwest Ohio looking for 2016-D's in hopes of tracking the distribution of these Roosevelt's, and finding a few more DDR's. Well, I did find $200 of 2016-D's in Napoleon, OH, and another $85 in Wauseon, OH. I searched these rolls- total of 2,850 2016-D's, and found no DDR's...I cleared out the Northwest Ohio branches of 2016-D's- except for the Defiance location so as to provide others a chance to find.
I did buy 15 rolls from the Ebay seller, and found more DDR's; I found 27 DDR's total out of 7 rolls searched! The seller on Ebay has more available rolls...last I looked - 4.
In regards to the DDR's; I've noticed 3 distinct types of doubling with the bands: Strong Doubling, Medium Doubling, and Faint Doubling South of Bands. I have pictures below to distinguish the Strong Doubling from the Faint Doubling South of Bands. The Medium Doubling is too hard to distinguish with my pictures against the Strong Doubling but there is a noticeable difference between those two. These 3 do NOT have the die gouge as indicated by John Wexler on the obverse- so likely these 3 may be new DDR varieties. Special thanks to Jason Poe for pointing this out. I plan on sending these out for determination of new variety. I'll be sure to keep all posted.

27 DDR's
Strong Doubling
Faint Doubling South of Bands
Looks like they should be sent to john ( the 2 new ones ) they will be new DDR(s) ...
I just received email today from John Wexler confirming three new varieties I sent him: WDDR-002, WDDR-003A, and WDDR-003B. I will be sure to post the links to these varieties once he updates his website.
I also have 8 unopened rolls of 2016-D's that contain the WDDR-002, 003A, 003B. I will be offering a giveaway for (1) unopened roll. This will be similar to the giveaway I've done before with the WDDR-001, posted both here and ATS. Please be sure to check back if you wish a chance to participate. I will post details for the giveaway in the next few days.

I think you mean DDR-001, 2, 3 ....
I'd think that too Rick on the DDR-001, 2, 3...but the "W" in front of the DDR's I mentioned indicate a Wexler variety attribution. Sorry about that; I should have clarified the WDDR designation.
I'll post the giveaway in a separate thread tomorrow at 7pm EST so everyone has a chance who may have missed this.

Yippee.... I was cleaning out a carry on bag which had some change in it... and there I found a 2016P DDR.....Now that is cool.... Cheers, RickO
Way to go RickO!!! That's awesome! Is the 2016- P a typo, or, is it a 2016- D, DDR? Great find! Somewhat of a coincidence- the three of us who've found these have the first name Richard. How often does that happen! Numismatic magic! LOL.
Congrats Ricko! Sounds like you've found a new variety!!! Wow! Now it looks like I have to check my "P's"! Are you going to send it out for attribution? Can you post a pic? Wow!!!!!! Too cool! What a find!!!
I am not sure where I got it but went through a roll today. It was in a Loomis roll with green ink. Printed on it with pen was 2016-D UTAH DDR. Roughly half the roll was 2015-D and half 2016-D. I found 3 with doubling in the right field of the bands. They look like WDDR-002 with the die gouge near first T of STATES and last A of AMERICA. It reminds me of the extra keys on the District of Columbia quarter.
It's been awhile that I've been on boards- taking a breather, so, glad I checked back! Dave, I sent you that roll probably 2 years ago, lol, that is my writing, and you will find the WDDR-002 in roll, and you probably have a few WDDR-003's as well.
Not major doubling, but nonetheless was very pleased to at least find "something" out there in circulation. It's all the same fun, no matter how great, or, small. We all keep looking!

It hasn't made it to coneca varietyvista James Wiles yet.
I got 3 of the WDDR-002 and no -003 from that roll +++
You might have some of the WDDR-OO3's, they are elusive. You have to tilt them at an angle to see the doubling; but, it is there. Heck, send your WDDR-002 to Wiles, and it will be put on the map Dave. I should send out the WDDR-001 to him for inclusion as well.

BTW- I did bring attention to this discovery with L. Briggs at December coin show, so hoping it makes Cherrypickers. Would be cool to see included.

Doubling on the WDDR-003's are shifted south of bands btw. Faint.
So what was the final word on these?
Are they going into the new CPG whenever that comes out?
Later, Paul.
