Picked up this Montana off eBay. One could say I over paid but once I got this in hand, it's a rock solid 10. In hand, this copy looks amazing with razor sharp corners and no signs of chipping and flawless centering. I really believe that the 85 Topps football set is very underrated with its black borders and while it doesn't contain huge rookie names, you still have the second year cards of Marino and Elway with Elway being a very low pop of PSA 10 with only 18 in existence. And of course we all know about Peyton and Dent.
Mark, How are you? Beautiful T206, I'm like you I could care less about the back of the card as long as the front displays like yours does. Bravo bud!!
Marc... Absolutely stunning Montana , but the 85 set does have great rookies in the set. I'll be honest this one is the one that only matters:
"EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY IT SAYS IT RIGHT THERE ON THE WALL" - JACKIE MOON
These arrived yesterday. Like I've said before I'm pretty bullish on last years crop of rookies so I figured this would be a nice little addition. (Damn my scanner sucks. Sorry about the quality)
Also this will be the last modern cards I purchase for some time. It's time to get back to work on Gilbert and the rest of the 70's Sabres.
Cincyredlegs, WOW!!! That T-206 Chance looks great for the grade.
LOTSOS, I'm not a hockey collector for the most part but that Upper Deck Exclusive set rocks the house.
Dnice, a sweet looking Montana for sure. Congrats. Not all PSA 10's are created equal and you landed a real beauty.
I am very happy to add this Palmer to my rookie collection. Hard to find centering on this card that is acceptable and found this one that works for me.

Geez Marc that's perfect! Black borders in 10 always come off looking like no others - and Montana to boot!
~Palmer has insane centering. Good Job holding out for one like that.
~Stingray, are you going after the whole set in 9's? Just wondering - why not chase the 10's as I cant imagine many 10's being really expensive (meaning over $15-20), and plus, it would be exciting hunting down those low pops of the common players.
Love that Montana. I remember ripping packs back in the day looking for the Richard Dent.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

It's Surface "issue" looks to be what is best described as "rubber band" marks indenting the surface across his kneecap area on the card. you can sort of see some of them on the right border in the pic.
The 5x7 1984 Court Kings consisted of 50 cards. Jordan is #26 of 50 and it states Series Two on the back, so im guessing it's original owner rubber banded their set, as their size were not easy to store.
Im more then pleased with the card and that "defect" was a money saver

Dave, I fixed that for you Eric, congrats on the sweet Star Jordan. That could be the eye appeal pick up of the month (along with Mark's Chance).
Not that i will ever have the wallet for the #101, but i would like to own the 195 and 288. They arent too bad, pricing wise, but they are NEVER EVER centered! That is what is going to be the death of me if i want to own them! LOL

I had been out of town working for 2 1/2 weeks so I wasn't able to share any of my recent pickups. Some of these were bought last month but I just saw them for the first time today.
Wow. Amazingly centered cards. All of them. Love them all - Especially the Robinson 10 and the 56 Koufax 8. Superbad pickups all around this month from everyone actually.
jfkheat, Man that is some sweet cardboard you had waiting for you back home. I can only imagine what would be waiting for you if you were out of town for an entire month. Some very nice Brooksies you have added.
Very excited to land this Staubach rookie. One of my favorite football players as a kid.
James - some nice additions. You can't leave us with a crappy picture of what is a gorgeous PSA 10 Brooksie! Scan that card for us to all enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
David - AWESOME looking Staubach. Presents real well for a "6".

Recent add to my R145 Superman set - Another card on the way makes 2 September pickups. Very slow movement here, but centered high grade examples come to market almost never
A big thank you to doctorK for his patience with me on this Paige purchase. He was top notch!
I've looked over this card under lighted magnification and for the life of me I can't figure out why it's a 3. The spots on his bill are not missing paper because you can still the black ink dot matrix pattern. A beauty for a 3.
Crazy that there are only 3 Paige cards to choose from.
Nothing special, but happy to pick these up for my RC Set. I have been looking for the Fleming at a reasonable price for a while and was finally able to snag one.
Working on the following sets
1980's and 1990's Topps Baseball BBCE FASC - Cello or Wax Boxes
1952 Bowman US Presidents PSA 7 & up
Pro Football Hall of Fame Indianapolis Colts PSA Registry Set
June 9th Cubs full ticket or stubs - 1981 to 2020
Andre Dawson Topps Basic registry PSA 10's
Mark Grace Topps Basic registry PSA 10's
ToneD - that is an outstanding Satch. If it's a 3, it has to have a spider wrinkle in there somewhere. If not, then maybe you should send it back and see if it bumps. Heck of a pick up either way.
Abcoltsfan - Nothing special? I beg to differ on 86 Fleer basketball in gem mint 10's.
Thank you Dnice. I have scoured the card under lighted magnification and I can't find anything. Could be something I'm missing but it's gotta be minuscule.

Kevin,
I'm not a hockey collector but I absolutely love the pmg set! Just curious,
Is that a retro set? Never seen purple before. Very sharp looking.
What's up Bobby. Louis Lipps in a 9!! Wow. Is that one yours? Please tell me you have that one in a safety deposit box at please.
Mark, that's tobacco juice on the back

That's about as a nice a 2 as any I've seen. Most excellent pick up.
Really nice. Are you doing that set?
Yes it's Palmer, yes it's an 8.5 but WOW it's centered!
What a beauty buddy. Very good show.
