Mike, I still have a portable radio-cassette player. If you want me to put it in the cassette player, play it for a while, then pull it out and have the cassette tape stick in the machine so it gets all jumbled up and scratched let me know. LOL.
Just want to thank Tanner for this card I received in the mail today - it's a beauty!
GORGEOUS MANTLE. I LOVE IT. HOWEVER, MIKE, IT NEEDS A MAJOR TWEAK.
HEAR ME OUT, BRO, AND IF YOU AGREE, WOULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME GET ONE WITH THE UPDATED VERSION?
OK, FLEER HAD THE MARVELOUS FORTUNE TO HAVE MAURY WILLS IN THEIR MIGHTY MITE OF A SET. IN THE YELLOW DIAMOND OF MAURY'S CARD, THEY DO NOT HAVE A DRAWING OF A BASEBALL PLAYER. LIKELY YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY.
WITH MICKEY BEING THE JUNIOR LEAGUE WINNER, MICKEY'S CARD SHOULD HAVE THIS INSIDE ITS YELLOW DIAMOND:
A. L. MOST VALUABLE PLAYER '62
DO YOU THINK TANNER CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN? AGAIN, PLEASE REMEMBER ME. I WOULD LOVE TO OWN ONE OF THESE.
THANKS FOR LISTENING, MIKE. ---INDIANA JONES (BRIAN POWELL)
I recently received back 11 cards for my NY Sub Set that I sent to PSA. All came back with the grade I thought except Bridwell (I thought 1.5 and it came back a 1) and Quinn (I thought 1.5 and it came back a 3).
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Well, I think I have decided what my next project set will be. Mike, Stone, will like this one. If I just had a nice Mantle for the set I would be a happy camper. I'll start a thread when I get a little further along on the set if there is any interest.

Thanks Marc. I have 21 of the 28 from the New York Highlanders. Still need both Keelers and the Chesbro.
Out of the 52 New York Giants I have 39. I still need all 3 of the Mathewsons and 2 of the 4 McGraws.
Not sure if I will be able to afford any of the above HOFers, but it's a fun sub set to collect.
Right now I am still in the collecting mode ... time will tell.

Sweet 72s. While I think the Stretch is a true 9, as it sits just a touch low...that Concepcion is a great example of another current thread about the difference between a 9 and 10. And in regards to that card, I couldn't tell you. Very nice pick up!

My favorite basketball set by far, I was fortunate to get a great deal on a partial 1980-81 Topps basketball box from a former card shop owner. The packs are absolutely beautiful, although I will start sending them off to PSA in batches and let them be the judge. At least one has a popped seal, which I'm saving for an NBA tipoff rip... think we're down to just three weeks and counting!

Awesome! That's a really appealing and unique set, Bird/Magic or not!
Those 70's hockey cards look cool, guys with the long unruly hair, although nobody is as cool as Rick Macleish seems to think he is, judging by his expression. And then we have poor Jim Schoenfeld, who went to his Mom's house the day before photo day where she promptly put a bowl on his head and cut his bangs. Cool look, Jimbo!

Yeah nothing better than the good old days of no helmets. Could you imagine how differently the game today would be played with out anyone wearing one? It's hard to be a fearless human missle when the old nugget is exposed.
Yes, Mrs. Schoenfeld did spend a little extra time on little Jimmies hair that day. Almost looks like she curled the bangs under a little too.
Wow, that assists leaders has a lot of star power! I'm a Clarke fan.
Yes indeed! Im in the I love to hate him catagoery. Loved his game, hated him every second, but would absolutely love to have him on my team. It's hard to find another player in the modern NHL who had so much influence over one franchise. He defined the Bullies, took that attitude and approach to the front office, and sculpted the 80s, 90s, 00s incarnations in their image.
That player, in that City...... could not be a much better fit. LEGEND! (Said with venom, hate, and respect)
I snuck in a 1951 Ringside right before October. I know the card is OC, but these don't come up too often in PSA 6 or better. I have been working with a dealer in Western Florida on a PSA 8 (only nine 8s and one 8.5, none higher), for six months with no luck yet. This will likely be a filler until I find a nicer one. Still a sweet looking card and a short print as well.

That concepcion is amazing!
I agree, it's always fun to find a really nice example of the grade amidst the eBay sea of mediocrity.
