    Thanks!

I honestly don't know what's going on with my posting of pics. I copy the link, but it just shows that and not the pic.. I put the source to Imgur on my last post in case somebody wants to help a brother out and post.

This thread has me excited and sad all at the same time. Excited to see pulls like Kurt's Bench/Ryan, excited to see what the rest of you pull, and sad because the Heritage thread here on CU used to be so vibrant. This thread would have been at 500+ posts back in the day and trading would have already been in high gear. Heck, by now one of us would have pulled an all-nighter with box-by-box highlights and scans. I myself did one of those - it was a helluva lot of fun.

Okay, enough with the Debbie Downer bit. As usual, I'm in the market for a Dodgers team set with SPs and inserts, plus any of the variations you guys might pull and are willing to deal to me.

And damn, Kurt - that Bench/Ryan! Very happy for you!

Ya, there were 2-3 guys that used to be crazy accurate with logging there pulls and location. Maybe it was "Craig in Texas" has an excel list of every card location in every pack, pack location in every box, and box location in every case. And he would open up 4-5 cases every year. He always made his finds available for all to see. And his listing goes all the way back to the early Heritage. I think the peak was with the 55-58 years. I don't know if that reflected the older age of the collecting group, or if the drop off was due to a loss of interest. I never had a bad trade during those years, dozens of them. The new make up of the 100 SP set actually discourages the previous fervor to pick back up. More SP's, less duplicates, fewer trade possibilities.

Stoney, fantastic work with that Trout and the Bregman auto. Should be a hot seller....probably could hold it and get more later, unless he flops... I pulled a brock red auto too...cepeda blue for me, as well as a brock blue and a kaline red. keeping those 3 and selling the brock red.

if you need stuff, let me know, happy to trade.....would love the trout!

  • parkerjparkerj Posts: 1,098 ✭✭✭

stoney, i pulled two judges, one redemption and one on-card....which is odd isn't it? both sold for 110-125 range.

  • ZTargZTarg Posts: 497 ✭✭✭

Why did the cases get so expensive this year? Last year I paid $700 the week before release.

  • magellanmagellan Posts: 2,099 ✭✭✭

Last year I paid $705 presell & this year $725 both from Blowout. Boxes do seem steep.

I will probably send those out for grading and hold on to them for awhile along with the 2nd Bregman and Correa that I just posted. I will need quite a bit in trading, hopefully I will have my list ready Saturday.

Don't mean to be a tease, but I'm at the airport and can't post pics. But thanks to Cubs fans buying frenzy I had to order a third case when I had only planned on two this year. I busted the third case today and out of the fifty or so Heritage cases I've busted in my life, this was the best. And probably the single biggest Heritage card I've ever pulled. I'll try to post pics later tonight.

Right, I paid $725 per case from Atlanta for my first two cases, but the third which I reserved at a later date cost me $825. Have some more good pulls from that case as well. Will post pics later. And I'll be ready to trade next week when I get back to my cards!

  • magellanmagellan Posts: 2,099 ✭✭✭

I think I bought in late January from Blowout. I checked Atlanta, Da, & a couple others. Free shipping from Blowout clinched it.

Hey Jim, you were one of "thhe" guys back in the day. Glad to see you are back. Got some questions:

There is no mention of the chrome style cards that are numbered to 999. What are they referred to as?
What are the no numbered chromes called?

John I think those are just called chromes by most or base chromes as you will.
The no numbers are called purple refractors I have noticed.

I also hit a hot box with 1-2 chrome and refractor cards in each pack Some are numbered to 999, some to 568 and some to 68. Still others with no numbers. Nice looking Daniel Murphy Blue ( 50/68). First hot box I have had. Pulled a Trout action, a McCovey stamp, and a Kris Bryant poster. It looks nice, but don't know what to do with this darn thing, frame it?
So, I have been extremely happy with the four boxes I have purchased from Dave & Adam's shop. I am tempted to open this sealed case, but really want my run of cases to continue. Anyone selling boxes? If so, please message me.
Thanks guys. I'll post more photos later...
