We are working on that now. We should have one if things fall into place shortly. It won't be fancy but we need one and want to work on some SEO stuff.

Going to share some pictures of the shop since we opened. It will be on the first post.

Looking good Nathan. How is business so far? Do you have a lot of repeat customers? How did Pizza/Trade Night go?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Thanks for sharing the pictures and keeping us posted on how the shop is doing.
I miss the days of local card shops. This thread brings back fun memories of my local shops, and the hopes of one day opening one of my own.
Awesome photos and thank you for sharing. Cannot wait to get down there while I am visiting accounts and stop in. A real brick and mortar shop is unicorn these days.
Thanks for keeping us posted. I wish you continued success with this endeavor. Oh and glad to see actor Kevin Kline with the big hit on the pack pulled Favre auto.

Business is better than expected. Lots of things I am learning but it's been fun. Yes, lots of repeat customers. It went well. We are doing it the third Thursday of each month. This Thursday will be #3. We hired our third person this week to help a little around the holidays. I fly to the fanatics show Friday to try and pick up some things for customers while they work the shop.

We have just got them from folks bringing them in the store or online. We try to stick with Tristar, Steiner, PSA/DNA, JSA or people we trust that got them in person.

1952 Topps Mantle's ........lol
At my store people buy mid grade vintage stars that have nice eye appeal. We sell lots of Tennessee Vols current/past players. I know it's a cruel world. Our store we move the newer shiny stuff at a fast pace. The vintage in one showcase but those items I mentioned and PSA/bgs graded vintage sell pretty well.
I fly to Chicago on the 17th for the Fanatics show to set up so hopefully it is before then. Look forward to meeting you.

I have vintage and some shiny as well - comes with having a son that collects both. I am in town the 15th so it will be before you head out to Fanattics. Hopefully the spring Fanattics show is a good one. I went to the fall one since i was up in that area for work. Traffic in Chicago is brutal, so flying is the way to go. Of course Gibson's helped soften the blow

I realize you can't cater to every customer that comes into your store, but I agree with the assessment above about building relationships. At least once per year I buy a new very high end 76 set, go through it and compare to my already high end set, and upgrade where I can. I spend time during the year searching for a set to purchase, but would love if I had a local card shop connection, where we were in frequent contact and he knew I was looking for that set. If he saw one, and someone brought one in he would pick it up for me. Obviously, that would take a building of the relationship, but I would gladly pay a 25% markup if my local shop found a great set for me. I'm glad you are doing well, and I wish there was a local shop by me, that seemed to care about what their customers wanted. I never go into my local shop, as they are not very friendly, and seem to want to push me out as fast as humanly possible, after I have spent some money.

Love the 76 set as it was the set from my first year of little league baseball, and just picked up a raw stash of cards. If you are grabbing a new set every year we need to talk about your extras

I picked up a sweet 84 Topps Cello Mattingly PSA slabbed while I was there.
