The sad part is the people bidding on it have high feedback scores, if you have ever seen a St Gaudens before this should jump out to you as very very fake.

I purchased a 1849 O Liberty Seated Half Dime last week from a seller in the same town in Russia but a different eBay handle:

Bad photos; it looks like a struck AU coin. I paid $18 for it so I guess I know what I'm going to receive.....

Why?? For $18 I figured it would be worth the hassle. I really can't tell from the listing photos if it's real or fake, but after seeing the fake $20 gold fro the same town I'm guessing the coin was produced in China. Perhaps others can make ot obvios signs of a fake from these photos that I'm not seeing?

I've received many fake coins off eBay previously (always bad photos); I've always received a refund. I'm guessing I'll get a refund this time as well if the coin is a fake.
