Thought I'd share this 3 and a half year effort. Finally took images of the new 1936 and 1941. Will get them truviewed at the next show I'm at as the photos through the holder are rough. Still looking to replace a couple of the coins, but happy with the set as it stands. Waiting on a couple more to come out of the ez bake oven first imageimage

Set link is in my signature.

The reverse on that 1938 is stunning. Electric, you might say.

    Who are you kidding?
You might take a break, but your not done.

The only thing for certain is you won't be upgrading that 1938 or 39.
The reverse on that 1938 is amazingly beautiful.

So that's what the reverse of a Mercury Dime is supposed to look like! Absolutely stunning set. And on a college student's budget, no less. Congratulations!

The 1938 is a flat out amazing coin. Should be in a 68+ holder, IMHO

I'd kill for that 1938 dime...so, you better not get within arm's reach!

More seriously, that is a really, really sweet set. I hope you have friends and/or family who can see the set in person and appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing it--it's truly nice!

You know, I just replaced the 1941 with a less spotty coin today! The search is never over! That leaves 1, possibly 2, coins I will be calmly searching to replace.

Excellent work and exceptional coins. I think short set proofs and 19th century through 1916 proof coinage is a great area of the market and an undervalued bargain for long term collecting and holding.

    Nice job!
