Got these at the flea market today just before the rain at $50 per roll. Actually separated the good from the, bad and the ugly, so I get more $ for the good. The rest just basic bullion when the price goes up.

I picked up a very cool SAB that has a known mintage of 5, yes 5!

I'll add it to this thread tomorrow. Going to see Joe Bonamassa tonight! image

I see a trend by piecesofme for not posting pictures....What gives?

This is a perfect example of why I don't buy rolls of .900 silver coins for bullion. Most have had the better coins pulled out and the dregs are repackaged and sold off. I bought several rolls of walkers from a fellow coin club member a few years ago. When I got them home I checked them out---they were heavily worn and a couple didn't even have a visible date. At the next coin club meeting I asked the seller about this and he admitted that he went through them and pulled out the better coins and then repackaged and sold off the rejects. He even told me that there were several AU coins with nearly full luster. I certainly learned my lesson with this experience.

I learned long ago... these rolls offered for sale have all been scrutinized and unless you are buying on melt price speculation, they are not worth it. Cheers, RickO

Thanks DB, what I tried to post was a copy and paste 'screenshot' of the calculated value of one roll of Roosevelt dimes.

May be a few not familiar with the site.

Kind of looks like a GA (Golden Analytical) bar, the font does anyway. GA bars were made in Golden Colorado, close enough to OR where the 2 mints/makers might have paired up. Just a wild guess. Very nice pick up

That is used for any rifle purpose...it is just a rifle.... no different than others with a wood stock...except in cosmetics. Cheers, RickO

That there is some expensive precious metal per pound.

Everyone should own a pair of those book ends.

That part and what, 20 minutes and your GTG.

You can sometimes find stripped lowers for $39.95, shipped to your FFL, depends on his fee for the NICS check, mine charges $10.00.

I organize all the parts, in order of assembly, in an egg carton.

Takes me about 15 minutes to slap one together, I do have the proper tools, roll pin punches, etc, and, lots of Armory Experience.

80% forged lowers are fun, if you have a small milling machine and experience.

I would say such things are a good investment, given the current political situation.

ar15.com is a great firearms site, 100's of forums, is like the PCGS Forum of Firearms.

I must add that the Lower Receiver is the 'registered part', Transfrerable may be a better word, as no records are 'supposed' to be kept, you MUST have it shipped to an FFL Holder and go through the proper paper work and Back Ground Check.
