New toned walker for the collection

Bought this one raw, just graded MS66 yesterday. Trueviews used too much light and these were edited to darken them up a bit.
There was another one on the same submission, but the trueviews make it look pretty ugly, as in MS63 tops, but it graded 65+.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

You should post the MS65+.

Very pretty and pristine. I bet you cherry picked it lower than MS66.
You got me there!
I'll post the 44, but you really have to use your imagination.

Hence your sig line.
I'd call the toning on the 1944 to have above average eye appeal. Either the rev strike on the eagle's chest or luster a tad muted by the toning are the only things keeping it from MS66. It does have a number of very nice striking characteristics, esp. the obverse.
It looks a heckuva lot better in person. Lasvegasteddy sent it in on a piggyback order for me and he actually thought the 44 was the better looking of the 2.
I've emailed the trueview department and asked if there might be a more suitable photo.
It has been a while since i've seen it but the obverse crescent on the RH side is a nice maroon color, not really a rust color.

Both look like great coins.
I like the strikes, colors and surfaces.
Great eye appeal on both.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

That 45-D blows the other away. I think it would have a shot at 67. You have a great eye to grab that from the wild!
Great pick ups!!

They both have great eye appeal
