"The similarity between the Dubosq territorial coins and Longacres designs has been noted by many. I suspect that the experts here already know this particular information but I didn't until recently.
In talking with Rick Snow, he referred me to a article he wrote in 2001 after having had the chance to research Longacre roughly 10 years prior. Here is a excerpt from Longacres diary.
"Gave Mr. Cross the dies (1 pair) with the necessary directions to be made for Dubosq and Co.”
