This admission ticket to Peale's Museum in NY. Operated by 2 sons of Charles Willson Peale, the museum focused on educational exhibits of natural history, science and the arts. It was eventually put out of business by Barnum's nearby "museum" which featured musical entertainment and more sensational exhibits. Barnum bought out the Peales at bargain prices

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Splasher of a Pioneer design done by Longacre.

This from an earlier post in 2008.

"The similarity between the Dubosq territorial coins and Longacres designs has been noted by many. I suspect that the experts here already know this particular information but I didn't until recently.

In talking with Rick Snow, he referred me to a article he wrote in 2001 after having had the chance to research Longacre roughly 10 years prior. Here is a excerpt from Longacres diary.

"Gave Mr. Cross the dies (1 pair) with the necessary directions to be made for Dubosq and Co.”

Long acres Ledger Pg 6, June 2001."
