Cursed Coins

I have heard this term mentioned on a few occasions but never directly to me. Is there such a thing and would any of the more experienced folks care to elaborate on specific examples?

IIR the designer depicted a raven in the design, which is the death sign for the tribes living there. Hence the coin is known as the "death dollar".

I'm aware that there is at least one dealer out there who firmly believes that anything short of MS67+ CAC is cursed.
Yup. All dreck coins are cursed.

I have an English touch piece that I carry with me when I make ward rounds at the hospital (as a good luck charm)

I've had some fairly sick patients recently and perhaps (hopefully not) my talisman is having the opposite effect.
Such as having a penchant for being lost / delayed in the mail, mislabeled at the grading service, sold to someone online who then vanishes, etc.

@boosi somehow i knew you started this thread...i don't know why, but somehow i guessed it was you before i saw the author.
@silverpop apparently, you do not believe in curses. however, you cannot accurately state there is "no such thing" as anything, just because you don't believe it exists.
@CharlotteDude hilarious!
@TwoSides2aCoin interesting comment
i don't know of any cursed coins. but, i don't think it would be a selling point for me.
however, if you look at the american who survived all three recent major terror attacks (boston, paris, brussels) as an example of an amazing coincidence (notice the pun)...and consider how many coins have been minted...
i am sure there is at least one coin that has circulated around from one terrible event after another leaving a path of destruction and misery in it's wake...which would be surely a cursed coin. but, like all coins we admire, we only know a very small part of their story. therefore, how could we know a cursed coin?
Any coin that three people in a row lose money on.....
How can this be?
Steveben , in the context of my use of the term curse, it is figuratively used.
yes, i understood that. i just liked your comment.
no such thing as curses people
