I agree with you. I couldn't make this Baltimore show due to work restrictions. So in order to help my pain, I'm going to visit my local b&m store this weekend to see what new items have come in.

I'm in the same situation...too tied up with work and young kids to be able to make it. I also enjoy experiencing the show vicariously through road reports and show report threads. Look forward to seeing more of those and really looking forward to seeing all the newps trickle in next week.

I was there this morning for a couple of hours and can only give a small synopsis. The bourse felt a bit slow compared to the last few Fridays at the spring show. I didn't trip or bump into as many pull behind suitcases as usual. But seriously, it felt a bit slower than normal. That's just my perspective. One thing that helped with that perspective, is I had more dealers asking what I was looking for more than normal. I don't have much perspective in what was being offered since I collect a small piece of the numismatic supply and tend to not notice the others. One thing I will comment on is the quality of photos some of the dealers use on their sites. In one series that I don't collect, but do follow, dealers in that realm use some substandard photos on their sites but the coins are super sweet in person. Not all, but some dates I remembered were largely misrepresented on their site compared to the quality in hand. Since I have only been collecting for less than a decade, I guess I have been spoiled relying on quality photos compared to trusting a dealer. Maybe that's just my issue and not an issue for others.

Go and check StsckBowers auction results. These numbers will give you a lot of clues.
