Still, there's no telling what a Trump administration might actually do. The Supreme Court appointments are gonna be the end game if he screws that up. Hopefully he wouldn't.

Frankly, I'm rather surprised at how poorly spoken he can be at times. He is good at capturing the media's (and his audience's) attention, though, with buzz words and hyperbolic verbiage. Reality TV at its finest and we're all along for the ride. I just hope his finger doesn't get too twitchy on the button the first time a world leader insults or criticizes him.

Sometimes it does take a major disruption to promote change. Clearly the system needs to be overhauled and changed but who has the ability to do it? The wheel has been in place for so long how do we start to change it? Maybe we need an apprentice program for future presidents.
If Trump won I think it's possible he could quit. He would become so frustrated with all the politics that he would just walk out.

We start with an outsider - one whom the insiders will do everything they can to discredit. Let their fear be your courage. Forget WHO he is and focus on WHAT he is. The insiders are scared do death of you having a choice that is outside of the two choices they prefer to give you. Their two choices are fellow insiders.
Gold has moved up the last decade due to a lack of confidence in the insiders running the show. I'd much rather have confidence in my leaders than have a need for my gold. When I can exchange my gold for a currency that will not be weaker tomorrow or for an asset that has not been inflated by the bubble blowing prophets of doom, I will gladly make the exchange. Until then I'll hold the gold insurance policy.
I look forward to change that was promised and not delivered by the last guy. He probably really thought he could change things, but didn't realize the guys who got him there would not let him. I like a candidate who owes nothing to those guys. Appears this guy's only debt will be to the voters who put him there. This is what scares those insiders so much. Let the lengths they will go to to keep him out define for you the depth of their fear and the need for anyone who is an outsider."

Luckily, a President Trump would not be in charge of the economy directly. I think there is a 100% chance of a huge ground war in Iraq and Syria if he's elected. He views debt as a tool and would promote a vast expansion on the debt to finance this mega-war. Think of the last Iraq war times 10.

Whatever, but i think the recent run-up in PM is due to Trump's rise for this very reason.
If you're going to run a business you need business acumen . When all these business leaders, church leaders, media moguls , politicians from both sides are doing all they can to ruin the guy and his platform, they must be afraid. I see both parties trying to separate themselves from a guy who obviously speaks out against Status Quo. Not that he hasn't been quite capable of managing his life in the midst of it (status quo).
Read an interesting analysis recently that proposed that if he had just invested what he inherited in a passive index fund he'd have about $3 billion more than he's got after however many decades of "actively managing" it.

Now that the FED is buying the debt here is how it works:
-FED creates money (QE) and buys government bonds. -US Treasury Dept. pays interest on those bonds to the FED. -FED returns to the government the profits it earns from the interest income. -This means the government is not really paying interest on the bonds. -As long as the FED holds the bonds, they profit, turn most of the profits back over to the government and the government never has to pay the face value of the bond.
By creating money and buying it's government's bonds, a central bank is cancelling that government's debt unless the central bank sells those bonds. The key to not bankrupting a nation will be in not ever selling those bonds.
Currently the US FED holds $2.5 trillion in US debt. That's 15% of all US government debt. This currently results in the ratio of US government debt to GDP being 91%, not the publicly declared 105%. As the FED's holdings of this debt grow, the US government's "real" debt actually shrinks. Amazing what you can do with a pen and paper.
At some point will the FED (private bankers) hold enough US gov. debt to hold the US gov. hostage and take control of it by threatening to sell the debt on the open market?
