They all do. Can we please go back to a single design for the quarter? The national park designs are terrible. I think the multiple designs per year horse has been beaten to death a long time ago.
Watch the mirror count the lines The battle scars of all the good times
Our entire coin & currency system needs a total overhaul. Considering the effects of inflation, we should eliminate the cent and nickel. The new smallest denomination (dime) should be a minuscule copper piece, the new quarter perhaps as large as a modern nickel. The half dollar should be slightly larger, the small dollar should be abandoned for something about as big as a euro (quarter-sized), a five dollar piece as big as a modern "small dollar", and ten dollar piece roughly as big as a Kennedy. The smallest bill should be a $20, and the largest a $1000.
Never gunna happen tho.
All of our current designs are tired and boring. Let's go back to Ms. Liberty, increase the relief a bit, and get back to hand engraving from actual artists.
Even though I am a huge Jefferson Nickel booster, I absolutely despise the current obverse which was started in 2006.
It's hideous and makes Jefferson look like a....well, I'll leave it at hideous. I really liked the 2005 obverse design. Wished they could have stuck with that.
I don't quite understand the dislike of the Roosie. Not a bad design, although it's all most Americans alive now are familiar with.
The Roosie was 1st in the PCGS poll, and running similar numbers in this poll.

It is not dislike--- it is just time to change it. the roosevelt dime is the only coin that has not been changed since 1946--The longest run of any US coin without any change in design at all. This is 71 year run. Time for a change.
All of them except the Sacagawea dollar. However, I prefer the original design with the eagle reverse. While I support the theme of the Native American reverses, some of the designs themselves are less than inspired.
All of them. It is interesting to note that, whenever the subject of replacing the Jefferson nickel with a different design comes up, the Virginia congressional delegation typically puts up roadblocks.

I agree that they all need to change, but I'm concerned about what political correctness will replace them. I voted for Roosevelt Dime. The design has been around since 1946 which works out to 70 years without any changes other than the switch to clad. Of all of the designs that is the one that is least likely to change because Franklin Roosevelt is the patron saint of the Democrat Party.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
The cent should become red plastic & the nickel should become white plastic and left in bowls on merchants counters in order to facilitate exact change if desired.
And I'm getting the feeling that one dollar bills need to go. Make a large silver dollar(nickel) in $5 denomination.
Dime, quarter, dollar, two dollar, five dollar coins & $5-500 paper.

Change the1c thru the 50c. Get rid of ALL political considerations by replacing the deceased presidents with something different. And eliminate the cent, nickel, and paper dollar.

Ha, no. If you send me contributions, I pledge to devote additional thought to this issue.
In all seriousness though, in the history of US coinage, individual collectors have proposed changes that became reality.
All of them. Add a circulating $1, $2 and $5 coin. Get rid of the cent, possibly the nickel. Now for the fun stuff. On the dime - Hunter Thompson on the Obverse, Richard Nixon on the Reverse On the quarter - Richard Gere on the obverse, a gerbil on the reverse. You get the idea.
