That's a nice 50-0. I've always like the 50-0 (and 58-0) dimes as sort of sleepers. They are much more recognized today. I knew back in 1976 that both dates were very underrated in choice/gem condition. Steve Ivy listed a gem 1850-0 small o dime in his 1976 price list for around $5K. It was unheard of to see anyone offering gem better date O mint seated dimes or quarters from the 1840-1860 period in the pre-slab era. They just never got offered...other than the fairly available 1857-0 dime.

I saw that 50-0 a few years later and it was a proof-like gem with nearly flawless surfaces. These days I think it's in a 66 or 67 holder. It was the best one I can recall seeing in person.

A nice coin and a nice set of dimes! Love the 1866, 1867 and the early CC's!

Not my series, but I must say that 1850-O is a beautiful coin. Probably the strongest AU-50 I have ever seen. Congratulations on a very nice newp.
