As I have stated many times, my number one focus for my collection is St Louis Cardinals team sets. I started my collection in 2002. My goal and dream at the time was to just try to get all of the basic Topps Cardinals cards from 1952 to present. It didn't take long to start branching out into many different brands, including some tough Topps test issues.

All team sets are complete with the exception of a few rare test issues and maybe a few variations.

My goal always has been completion first and then condition (quantity and then quality). In other words, I am not as concerned with the condition as I am just finishing each team set. For instance, my 1948 Bowman Musial rookie is in low grade, but I have had it for over 10 years and am very pleased with it. Same goes for my 1965 Topps Steve Carlton RC. As I have accumulated cards over the years, I have upgraded here and there. I try to be very organized with my collection. I have 20 albums full team sets that are organized by brand and/or decade. I also have 2 albums full of signed original Topps Cardinals cards (which I have a thread devoted to).

I have always wanted to take pictures of my collection anyway so that I would have some sort of digital record of what I have in case I needed it for some reason. So, since I wanted to take the pictures anyway, I thought it would be good to start a thread and share my ongoing 14 year project.

I must say that doing these team sets for the past 14 years has been super enjoyable. The chase has been thrilling. I get just as much enjoyment from adding a new 2016 Topps team set as I do adding a rare test issue. Well, maybe that was an exaggeration, but I think you get my point.

I will then start posting pictures of team sets as I get to them. I may do a bunch at once sometimes or I may do just one team set at times. I will try to be diligent with this until I get my entire collection documented (regardless of feedback from other members). I love getting feedback, but I am not doing it just for that. I really like the idea of documenting my collection here.

For those wondering, I include many variations in my team sets, but not all variations. I eventually get around to including variations. For instance, I do have all of the 1958 Topps yellow letters, but I do not have the red and black backs for 1952 Topps. I just have one or the other for 1952. One day I will probably get those.

So, without further delay, let's start by posting pictures of 19 of my albums that can fit on my shelf. The logos on the side of the regular Topps cards correspond with the decade in some way or the other. The other albums are just a general logo.

Note: Today (12/17/16) I reorganized 2 albums because one was too full. I took the "Topps & Bowman Heritage" album and made it a "Topps Heritage" album. I moved Bowman Heritage to the Bowman album making it a "Bowman & Bowman Heritage" album. The Topps and Bowman Heritage albums was getting so full that I could not fit another page in to. Bowman Heritage is a retire series and regular Bowman team sets are usually only a few cards so it just made sense to make the move. Now, I have room to add a Topps Heritage set every year and there is now plenty of room. I have not updated the pictures below. I will do that at a later time.
