If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Actually some of those coins would be perfect for a young collector. It would be shame just to toss them back into circulation.

I had a lot like this donated to my local club from an estate. Some of the coins had some PVC issues. I thought about just putting them in the bank as part of the club treasury, but in the end I took the PVC off and started them in the auction (which I run for the club) at face value with the proper descriptions as to what they were. They ended up getting bids and were sold.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I like them, as I also put notes on some of the 2x2 of where I found them. And add a the current date I find them.

That is pretty cool that the "slabber" put the dates on them.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Looks like he was a regular searcher and recorded the date of the 1st he found in general circulation! Kindda neat glimpse into old time numismatic interests!
