It been awhile since I shared this story, but there seem's to be enough new people here so here it goes.
I once saw some coins on eBay that were advertised as "BU Morgans." It did not take an expert to see that the coins were very circulated, and so I decided to ask the person why she was using the term BU. Her reply? "I thought it meant Been Used." Still makes me chuckle even today.

I don't think that the "Uncle Elmer Grading Serivce" would have the stones to call that one "UNC"
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Such a shame. Don't see any major war wounds on the coin itself - it was probably a wonderful circulated example of a rare date before the idiots got a hold of it.
