It is only natural for us each to think in terms of the here-and-now, but in reality our membership is spread around the World. With that in mind, has anyone already celebrated the New Year and welcomed in 2016??

It would seem the 'global' members might still be 'recuperating' from the New Year

I posted this over on the World/Ancients forum...

We have Gaius Julius Caesar to thank for a predictable New Year celebration every

January 1st. In 46 B.C., he took the Roman Empire off of the Lunar Calendar and

aligned the seasons by adding 90 days to the calendar, making that year 445 days

long, then reverting to 365 day years with a leap year every fourth year. He did this

two years prior to his untimely demise. Happy Freaky New Year Everyone! Make 2016

    Awesome! image
