When I opened this thread I expected to see a cool coin but I never expected anything this cool. What a marvelous specimen! Extremely nice. I bet this coin makes the other 19 in your box o' 20 jealous.

Fantastic.
My thought exactly. Had to buy my wife a new car this year, so depending on what I have left after paying taxes on April 15th, maybe I'll look at getting one of these.
What are HR Saints going for these days? I was offered an MS65 for $30kish a year or two ago, so I suspect a 63 should be $20k?
Are you sure that isn't just a piece of shiny brass?
Sorry couldn't help it, that is a dream piece for me as something coin related as a keeper in that price range just is not in the cards now. Sometimes it is ok to be a minnow in the pool of whales, we get to look up and see all the beautiful shiny round things and dream.
Congratulations! I still remember how thrilled I was when I acquire my first High Relief $20 gold.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Thanks to all for the accolades. I've looked at what seems like hundreds of MS63's over the past three years and am very pleased with this example.
Recap: My "Box o' $20" is a date run of circulation strike Saints from 1907-1932 in PCGS MS63. I use to have a saved PCGS thread illustrating my progress but sadly, that's no longer retrievable. Twenty-three coins are in that set, I eliminated the obvious: 1921, 1929-1932. The remaining slots will be filled with No Motto and/or Motto types...I may include a MMIX UHR to compliment the HR. I'm also including better types/mints per year where I can, e.g., HR, 09/08 overdate, 1913-S,... I chose MS63 because of cost and continuity, plus some can look really nice w/o having to pay -64 or -65 money. I look for a -63 that is appealing at first glance and makes one look a little closer. I avoid copper spots and major distractors in the field. It's been an educational endeavor as well.

Dont think Ill be able to afford a 65 or 66 grade I think the 63-64 grades are the sweet spot on these coins.
