Can't compare to Cardinal, but I may have searched just as hard to find these guys. Lovely coins everyone. The two large cents fresh back from CAC as well with green badges. So tough on early copper.
Congrats! Attractive 1823 Cents are very difficult to find in any grade above VF!!
While not natives, these immigrant half-cents had legal status back in the day of early copper --

BIGAL - looks like the only difference between the b and c is on the edge lettering....and I'm guessing you know that, but can't see
that in the holder it's in.

But I'm reluctant to have it reholdered as this coin is the first Wreath coin with lettered edge that was certified as mint state.
Some day I won't be able to resist.
