I have been dabbling with an 1861 gold coin Philadelphia Mint year set for a while. I am down to the the Three Dollar Gold Piece, which had no influence on the economy and the $10 gold piece, which is a bear because of the expense. The others are "common" by 19th century gold coin standards and not that expensive.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

A nice coin that saw a little bit of circulation.

    Very nice 45

I have a birth year set and a 100-year prior set as well.
