Post your favorite coin purchase in 2015 that cost $50 or less
One of the things I really like about coin collecting is that you can do it for not much cost. Coin collecting totally spans the spectrum of coin values, from ultra rarities that cost millions of dollars, to coins you can pull out of pocket change for face value. Post your favorite coin purchase of 2015 that cost you $50 or less. Here's mine, it cost me $10.

My bargain of the year -- an 1854 Great Britain Farthing (1/4 penny).
Found it in this box at an arts & crafts rummage sale.
Yup, I got the whole box (50 coins) for $10.

Now sold, unfortunately, but it was this; $25. I've wanted a MS barber half for quite some time, so you can imagine my delight when this popped up for a song.
Interesting to note that there are still people out there who would grade this coin F-VF....lol.
AU58... can't beat free. Cheers, RickO
Not my prettiest by far, but an MPL for $30 ain't bad.

A $40 purchase from Mike Kittle of Kittle Coins.
While it is from the dark side, this is a neat piece of history.
Once upon a time (before the TPGs figured out they were counterfeit) one of these in a PCGS F12 holder sold for $1,515.
The Whitehead & Hoag Confederate lead die trial is uber cool!
Thanks! I agree and was very happy to pick it up. I think lead die trials are cool and love the angled / cut planchet

Picked up this Franklin in a $20 proof set. The cellophane was real hazy but I could tell there was something special in there.
And this cool 1965 SMS dime with very strong die clash for $6.50 for the set. Sorry about the blurry pics on this one.
