Hi Coincat!

Thanks for you PM. I tried to respond to your message, but once more I got one of those error messages that ruins ten minutes worth of work. Here is the picture I wanted to send you, a recent auction purchase. This is a 1912 Bull Moose Party jugate.

Please, please, PCGS fix this site. It's a mess. You didn't not get your money's worth from this group of programers you hired.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    OUTSTANDING!

Nice button! I'm reading a book on Teedie (pronounced TD) Roosevelt's childhood right now. Quite an affluent family they were.

I too have had PM issues and started a thread about it. My problem was my browser (I used Chrome). I switched to Mozilla Firefox and all is back to normal...just say'n.

Chrome is a widely used browser. It is Google's browser after all and not some rare esoteric, hardly ever used, browser. The FuseTalk programmers should have taken into account all the popular browsers, IE, FireFox, Chrome. Almost every other site does.

Yeah the skills of the FuseTalk people do not impress. It's as if they've never done this before. And the fact that the problems still haven't been corrected says a lot.

Yes, PCGS, ask for your money back.

    BTW, nice button Bill!

I collect history in the form of coins.

That's a beautiful pin, Bill. Have you ever seen the Progressive Party fundraiser certificate from the election? I picked one up many years ago and have never seen another offered since.

    Is this the one?

It is hard to find a 1912 Bull Moose item that mentions Theodore Roosevelt's running mate, Hiram Johnson. I found this "Bull Moose buck" on eBay years ago which I purchased at a time when I thought I would never purchase a Roosevelt - Johnson jugate.

This is not an expensive item. I paid $30 for it on eBay, which was too much. But then again these are not offered that often, perhaps because they are not that expensive when they are traded, or perhaps because the low price is due to the demand, not supply.

Yes! That is exactly the same one! image

I picked up mine, oddly enough, from ebay in the late 1990s and paid $15 for it, if I recall correctly. The reverse of mine also has very bold ink script that states-

"Issued to Wm. M. Christi E. Staubury"

It is written across the entire left side (Hiram W. Johnson side) of the reverse as one would sign a check.

I don't know how I managed to miss this Thread

This is a great pin- very rare and under appreciated as are all of the TR-Hiram Johnson juggates.

I only have the TR-Johnson poster with the Kipling quote- not rare but just a great historical item to have framed and on the wall
