1919 and 1930 Penny Question

I got the 1930 back in change,but I can't decipher what the mint place is.It'spretty good color,though The 1919 seems nice to me for being almost 100 years old.Are either one really worth anything and can anyone determine what the mint place letter is? Any info is appreciated.Thanks.

I agree on the 1930 is San Fran. The 1919 is Philadelphia.

I agree. Nice finds, and worth holding on to.

Over the past couple years, I've been seeing more collectible coins in circulation, that I did over the previous 23 years of collecting. People appear to be cleaning something out.

The 1930 has the "S" mint mark under the date so it is was minted in San Francisco. The 1919 has no mint mark so it was minted in Philadelphia.

As others have said they are not worth much more than face value. The 1930-S has some sharpness, but it has been cleaned. The piece has VF sharpness and should be the same color as the 1919. That red color is only found on Mint State pieces. The 1919 appears to be in Good-Very Good.
