That looks like a Patrick Mint piece. Anyone know who does the diework for Patrick Mint?
I just picked up this dealer / numismatist token. Beyond having a cool middle name, Nelson Thor Thorson was ANA Life Member #12, ANA President #19, and founder of the Omaha Coin Club.
Is he known these days, by his research, pedigree or anything else?
I like that one @Zoins very much....

I guess I'll receive the thread with this one from Hershey .999 silver #73 on edge but don't know the mintage.

I just had to pick up this Silver 1963Harrisburg Coin Club medal. It has insanely blue toning and the mirror proof field looks like infinitely deep pools.
I have quite a few that need to be photographed as I've been slacking on shooting new purchases over the last couple years.
I did recently pick up this as it was the finest I've ever seen. Most are spotted, stained, or suffer from environmental damage. This was the first American Numismatic Association struck token it's brass and about 30mm in diameter. It's got who's - who's of early of early numismatics listed on it. Wright was one of the early publishers on exonumia. Gibbs on it is cool as he was a Canadian collector/dealer. This is example quality wise far exceeds any which Virgil Brand tucked away.

That's a great piece @ZoidMeister! Congrats for picking it up!
It would be interesting to hear from Dan @dcarr on these cuds. I don't think I've ever seen another cud on Dan's pieces and wouldn't expect them given how few strikes are done with modern die making techniques.
@coinsarefun Very impressive gold! Love the pieces and the photos. Also nice to have one from Dan and one from Ron
@ZoidMeister I also love the Omaha Coin Club piece. I wonder if @CoinHusker or @notlogical were involved in making those or can provide more information on minter and mintages? Here's some contact info for the Omaha Coin Club from CoinZip in the interests of getting further info:

That was one of the first coin club pieces I was inspired to pick up when I joined CU.
I think I ran across a silver version of it as well but haven't gotten around to imaging it yet.
I'm just resurrecting a few worthy old threads on a Covid recovery Tuesday.
I think there are a ton of packages to open and photograph when I get a negative result and get back to work. Maybe next week.

That's very cool. It reminds me of George Bauer's store card, also created by Alphonse Kolb of Rochester.

It gets me thinking about the biceps of those old time minters! It looks like a very physical activity!

Wow! Those are celebrating their 20th anniversary soon!
Great token from @FredWeinberg and struck by Jesse Patrick!
Here's the entry in the Patrick Mint Catalog, which shows a slightly different reverse die.
