The Johnson set at 25,000 should do better than this Kennedy set. It wouldn't surprise me if the Mint increases limits for the last Presidential dollar sets next year. If they do Reagan at 25,000 it could be huge.

<< Are reported pops now taking a week or longer to hit Coinfacts and, if so, are the reported -2- 70's now really -5- 70's since those -3- coins do not appear to be showing up yet?? >>

When pops are updated is and always has been random, although lately they are happening quicker and more often. I believe the updating has greatly improved.

Only 150 Eisenhower sets being offered on ebay compared to 432 for the Kennedy. The supply is diminishing for Eisenhower.

There were sales, but the returns were greater than the sales.

    Total Sales for W/E 9-20 were 48,462.

    Total Sales for W/E 9-27 were 48,203

The sales figures are going backwards due to so many returns.

How are you accessing the CoinFacts info on Kennedy? My Population Report AND my CoinFacts don't have any updated information beyond Grover Cleveland.

Could it be a browser problem? For some reason, all of the presidents after Cleveland and up through FDR are all jammed into the Cleveland entry.

After FDR, I see nothing. Can anyone comment?

Only 18 70s so far... Thats pretty low considering a 350% increase in mintage

Isn't Kennedy less than a 200% increase in mintage??

FOR EXAMPLE: If 500 sets were sold then 759 sets were returned or cancelled to give a total of -259 for the week.

Exactly what I said. "There were sales, but the returns were greater than the sales."
  • Returned the 2 sets - ugly reverse proof coins and not much upside with the high mintage.

HSN had them for sale on their Saturday show. More people now aware that they exist and looking to buy.

Still only 35 PCGS PR70's on the pop report. Good money to be made on this coin if you have a 70.

Three sets previously sold for $ 1,750. Set up for auction on Ebay with current bid at $ 1,575.

A really great return if you get a 70 set.

Hattrick: That is true, but the "285 MS69 and "35 MS70" reported figures may be a little confusing to some.

For example, on the better part of my first 100 fresh sets, I selected just (6) RP coins to submit to PCGS for 70 and got 1 (and 5 coins in 69). So, is my "grade through rate" about 18% (1/6 as reported in the report) or really 1% or 2%?

Too early to determine an accurate grade thru rate by the Pops at this point only a general indication. Depends on who submitted, when submitted, when updated,
ect. ect. ect.. They can sometimes vary in a large range early on. The only grade thru rate that really matters at this point is your own.

Bulk submission grading results always hit the populations late. Has this been corrected?
  • jmski52jmski52 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭✭
Where is this information on RP grades being published? I can't find in in CoinFacts or in the Population Report. Anyone?

<<Bulk submission grading results always hit the populations late. Has this been corrected?>>

Most likely not. With the American Liberty HR the pops were inching up slowly for a few weeks then they started jumping by the thousands.

Early population numbers are about as accurate as spinning Bullsitter's Mint Shipping Wheel.image

I think it's fair to keep asking the question in this thread - where are you getting the information on grading & populations for these coins?

Here is the link. Just put the PCGS coin number in the search box For the Kennedy RP # 568442

Thanks Hattrick. For the life of me, I can't figure out how JFK's Reverse Proof is found under "Grover Cleveland" or why I can't locate any of the recent presidents in the Population Report chart. Is this just a glitch that they can't fix?

I do not look up that much and have always had the coin number from Ebay pictures.
Just tried the name search and it sucks. I found the Medals under ( 2015 Medals ), however I gave up searching for the reverse proofs by name.
Somebody has some "splainin" to do. image
