Did a bit of a test at the opening bell. Used three different systems, one with windows 10 and edge, one with windows 7 and IE 11, and an iPad with iOS 8 and Safari. The iPad crashed and burned, windows 10 with edge never recovered, and windows 7 with IE 11 came through pretty easily. Same results as the Ike sets. Guess the mint is set up for old technology.
<< <i>Compared to the Ike and Truman, resale values on the bay are pretty underwhelming with Mint stock still available. Those guys sold them too quick. 10:33am and set is still available. >>
yes but the ones still available on the website are backordered until October, but more importantly they will not be eligible for First Strike designation.
Edit: I agree though that eBay is not currently looking promising for the flippers. >>
Further, just as happened to my friend with the Ike sets (discussed in another thread) if prices are substantially softer once in hand than in pre-sales a lot of pre-sale buyers will bail.
Topographic Oceans - Quite the contrary - you have a chance to sell your sealed box of 2 sets right this minute to me at $182. A "special deal for you only" - a 50% return on your money in an hour. No complaining later when you hold

Au contraire, mon ami, my iPad Air/Safari is always the quickest way to order, significantly faster than either my iMac desktop computer or my MacBook Pro laptop. I have no recent experience with Windows -- thank God for that.

If I were to sell, it would trigger a market move so dramatic that prices would rise to $875 a set and no one could afford them. I can't handle that responsibility.
I'm already poised to crash the stock market with my Sep 18 DIA call options.

Funny stuff! The option trade might be a winner, just depends on the FED tomorrow. GL with the trade
For the kennedy, I think we will see a sellout in the next few hours.
What is remarkable is that the Kennedy's sold 25k coins in the first 10 minutes. Not only is that more coins than the IKE or Truman mintage, but also beat them in the quickness of quantity sold.
b.o. is no longer an indication of a sell out. with their new parameters, the Mint will indicate it via: No longer in stock or the item completely removed.
