PMs really seem to be in a secular bear market....could last decades.
As a stacker, at your age or stage in life are you worried?
PMs may not recover in some of our lifetimes.
I have been through it before....so I know it can happen again now.
Not trying to be a big bummer here....just wonderin'

No need to fear unless you have dinner money in the PM markets. Sure the bear market could last decades but it probably won't and we'll likely start another bull run before the decade is out.
Try to have fun with metals and don't stress out over things you cannot control. It's not a bummer if you can laugh at yourself and realize how lucky you really are. Peace out.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

<< <i>My greatest fear is that the government will get its financial affairs in order---balanced budget and pay down the national debt. This would certainly take the luster off PM's. >>
Can you imagine what it would take to do that? The mind boggles.

Seeing as to how the government has been doing the opposite of that and PMs have tanked, "getting its financial affairs in order" may be necessary to get PMs back in the precious category.
Yikes. We're doomed.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...

With the entitlement mentality of the average voter it would take a dictatorship.

I had no interest in putting all my eggs in one basket or becoming a flipper so, no, no worries about declining PMs at all.

Cohodk mentioned something about the lowest job claims in over 40 years. That can be said of the HUI to Gold ratio as well. Except that goes back to 1942 before you will find anything lower. This has already "lasted decades" in this specific example. Reversion to the mean?

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I'm digging you up, just don't set any booby traps. Be sure to tell your heirs to put a raw super gem MS Walker in your vest pocket. Wonder what decomposition toning looks like?
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

Good point. Paper assets are not without their own risks.

You left out race horses and the kitchen sink, Baley!
Already there! 😅

Also left out AU$1 & C$1.

Regarding PMs, I think most aRe more disallusioned than fearful. Strong belief systems can overwhelm judgement. 5000 years of war in the Middle East is an excellent example.
