Ok said the thread complaining no one started a metal porn thread this week.

Here is my bragging rights for the week. Bought a lot of LP/Damaged 20 Libs. I was able to restore 5 of them for retail sale. I bought one for myself 1874, I think it should grade ms60-61.

the next time I get some in I'll do before and after shots. One just required me to heat it up and bend it straight.

When we decided to go back home, I thought I needed to add something that will be hard to find overseas...

Last week I visited a pawn shop I frequent. The woman told me that she had just put out the display of coins and there were a decent selection of silver coins. I started out by asking her about the 4 silver proof quarters in a bag marked $1.25 asking her if they were $1.25 each to which she replied, "no $1.25 for all of them, how's that?". I said I would take them. The same for the 6 silver proof dimes for $5.00. Then I saw the 5 pre 1900 BU Morgans for $90. I didn't even feel the need to bargain that price, just bought them. Who cares about dates at that price, only looked to make sure they were legit. Got to work and about an hour later I realized I never checked the dates or condition on the ones in the center of the 5 Morgan bag. Maybe there was something nice enough to submit. I saw a 1884 with a very nice Obverse but a small mark behind the head. Turning it over I noticed the back was simply awesome, looked like a 66 back, details-wise, then I glanced down and noticed the CC under the eagle and nearly fell out of my chair. That doesn't happen every day, a nice BU CC morgan for $18.00. Also bought 5 other BU Morgans, only one a 1921. 3 for $20 each and 2 for $25 each. None looked to have been cleaned, they aren't washed out as the lousy phone pics look, nice luster on all and one has a small amount of residue that would have came off if dipped. I went back the next day and picked up a 1915 Austrian Ducat restrike marked $100 for $90, at the time spot value of about $128. I'll visit there more often.

You can call my work what ever you want. Know that I do nothing no other coin dealer or vest pocket dealer does to make a buck. So I bought it at spot I should sell it at spot? Or should I put hours of work into a hand full of coins and make $50 each. These are coins that are whole sale. Ive gone through thousands and have seen my work bought and sold from dealer to dealer with not even a 2nd look.
