Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

(BTW ... I'm sure Evan LOVES reading what us amateurs have to say! hahaha)

Exactly. The Aboushi/Colon training camp battle for RG is as bad as it gets.

<< <i>Eagles offered him the chance to earn over 6 million next season - I'd be shocked if he gets that from any other team now. >>

He's been playing for 10 years and is 34 ... which is unfortunately old in NFL years. I think the NFL average career length is 6-7 years.
IMO he's still one of the best guards in the game but I'd say in reality he has 3 years left max. I hope he cashes in soon!
EDIT: He's still 33, but is entering into his age-34 season.

Pro Football Focus will tell you he is one of the best guards in the game but if that were true and he was available via trade the last two off seasons, why did no team offer up anything?

That is a good point, I guess because they want someone younger. If the sport wasn't so brutal on the players bodies than it'd be a different story.
Rotoworld says he was due $5.5 million in 2015 but wanted more. What's the take home on a salary like that after taxes, agents and other misc expenses ... like 2/5ths?
Trades don't happen all that often in the NFL plus with it being Chip Kelly and the Eagles I think other GM's were counting on the fact Mathis would be cut loose and available to
sign on their terms. It would be cool if he participated in the forum while he is waiting on his next NFL stop.
<< <i>This thread is boring. Mathis sucks. >>
Yeah, but does Chip Kelly suck more?
Shouldn't this be in the Sports Talk forum anyway?
<< <i>This thread is boring. Mathis sucks. >>
Then I hope he goes to play for my Detroit Lions. 2 sucks make a 'not suck'.

Gotta love this response!

That's probably his ultimate goal - to get out of his contract so he could participate in this form and rip packs at the BBCE booth at the National.

+1. Good stuff.
San Dee A Go, Super Chargers, baby! $9.5 million in projected cap room this year, and a lot more 2016-.
From ProFootballFocus.com: Team Needs - Guard: Johnnie Troutman continues to struggle, finishing the year as our lowest-graded right guard.
(I have no clue how difficult it would be to move our existing left guard (another below-average guy - Chad Rineheart) to the right side; hopefully doable)
Great weather, great people, a playoff caliber team. Let's make this happen!

All makes sense except it could very well be the Los Angles Chargers of The City of Industry he's playing for in 2016

I agree wholeheartedly. The only thing that sucks worse than him is his collection; i mean, a 52 mantle in an 8 and a bunch of psa 1's that psa mislabeled by adding a "0" to the right of the "1"?!?!?!?! What a pile of crap!!
Only one thing Evan, if you sign with the Hawks I'll be PM'ing you all year to see how awesome Russell is lol.

8x10s are way more cost-effective.

It doesn't get much better than a PSA 10 rainbow of one's self.

<< <i>I want to know who had the Ice Tea on that tab, LOL.. >>
That was my first thought.
My second thought was that must have been some mighty fine wine. $46k of various cabernet.
While my passions are the Flyers and Phils, I do root for the Iggles. I wish he was staying.
Depends on what they end up doing with Demaryius. If they sign Demaryius to a deal, paying him maybe $14-16 million per, that takes all the cap room.
If he ends up playing on the franchise tag this year for $12 million then maybe...
