    Gold is not slumping, but is in a slump and has been for a couple of years. The 64 thousand dollar question is: when will it wake up from it's coma.

    Weak economy --> less disposable income --> less money available to purchase gold.

    Also, some gold buyers have likely turned into gold sellers to help make ends meet.

    Economy is stronger than it was 4 years ago. There are/were better options for investors.
