you're right, wrong place. You see, I can admit a mistake unlike 99.999999% here

<< <i>You can set a minimum bid on a make offer listing. This is not the RANT or eBay forum. >>
This...just set your parameters to automatically reject "low ball" offers, so that you don't have to respond to them.
<< <i>BIN with best offer option is the only defense a seller has against idiots. I love it and I really mean love it when people tip their hand that they're just a complete idiot and make a ridiculous offer so I can just be done with them.
I know you're losing a potential customer but when they offer $90 on a $290 item, no, you're really not. You're saving yourself a headache. Your (serious & rational)thoughts?
My latest dismissal:
miketXXX made you an offer Jun 09, 2015 00:47:33 PDT
Are you sure you want to decline this offer?
Offer Price:US $90.00
Quantity:1
Offer expires in:45h 46m
Message:blocked forever, thanks for letting me know you're a fool and not serious about doing business, and you should stay off eBay when you're drunk and looking at porn at 1 AM. It skews ones rationality. >>
Can we see the listing? I guess low ball offers come with the eBay territory.

I was scolded for discussing an eBay related thing here, admitted I was wrong for bringing it up, yet people continue to troll because they want drama.
PH, there's no point in going any further with it, people have their mind already made up because it's me starting the discussion. If it was anyone else, well, you know.
<< <i>POM---Does this mean we can't see the listing?

It's amazing that 99.99999% of the time you're in the middle of the drama. Everyone else wants the drama but you're always in the middle of it. I can't imagine how you're confused by this...
Even when I admit I'm wrong you go on & on & on rather than just letting it go...but yet you humps (aka trolls) keep replying to what I say because you have no lives and live for what I say on here. That's why you're on a message board day and night and reply within moments of when I say something LMAO! You freaking live for it. How do I know? You keep replying by bringing up past, rather than being men of your word and moving on.
You think you're discrediting me somehow, but you're only making a bigger ass out of yourself in the process of continuing to care what I say on of all places...a freakin message board LMAO at the trolls!!!
Guy on ebay has item I want (multiples) listed as buy it now at $15 obo, or as an auction starting at $8.99, free shipping either way.
So I offer $7.50, you know, just for the sport, cuz a buck or ten ain't gonna kill no one, but everyone likes a "bargain"
So he counters $13.99! Had a good laugh over that, let the counteroffer expire, find the auction, bid $9.50, and win it for $8.99.
Punch line? I would have accepted a counter of up to $12, to save the additional 5 days and getting it that much sooner.

You're the last person I've seen on any metal or coin message board that needs any help discrediting themselves. Keep up the good work, you're doing a fantastic job...

ok, maybe a civil discussion can come out of this.
An item is listed at $339 BIN or best offer. Possibly a bit high but maybe not because current completed listings shows the last 3 that have sold is right there in that sweet spot.
Anyone who is really interested in the item would've checked that and would know where the current market (key word, current) is at with said item.
Buyer "has a laugh" and offers $90 with a comment that the offer is "over melt".
Knowing the unflattering offer is coming from someone just "having a laugh" at 1 o'clock in the morning (when the offer was made, probably was drunk and just got done watching porn because he couldn't sleep because he knows he's basically a loser) and that the offer was sent with absolutely no serious intention of purchasing, and has no merit whatsoever in being a "bargaining starting point", the seller does himself a favor and calls a spade a spade and blocks the "idiot".
The sellers mistake was bringing it here to discuss. (eyeroll) How stupid of the seller to remotely think a civil discussion would ensue and as pointed out by the "#1 forum cop" was admitedly not really the place for it.
Seller agrees and comes to senses, changes the title because it's now really a mute point to be made and realizes nothing has or will ever change in a place where no new ways of looking at things can ever be perceived, let alone discussed...in a civil manner.
Another reply from one of the troll gang. Just admit it, you adore me and cannot live without the anticipation of what I will say next.
Now go ahead little troll, reply back with something you think is witty but is ultimately telling of your character.

Isn't it obvious? You're my hero and I'm trying to emulate your every move.
A basic understanding of Psychology shows that posting a declined BIN offer and with the accompanying vitriol is the sign of someone desperate to be accepted and validated by his peers. A obvious proxy for a lack of paternal attention. I hope it was not something tragic. Maybe the group can pat him on head as a collective hug?

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Nope, not at all, but...
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
I sort of like the idea of outing ebay idiot buyers like this. Now that sellers can't leave true feedback its tough to protect yourself.
I 'd heard of a facebook group that served that purpose , sellers would post horror stories and buyers ID's.
Unfortunately I find avoiding facebook is more important than seeing the names of bad buyers.
I don't set my best offers to auto decline . Regardless of any lowball initial offers I respond the same way . So if I have an item up for 100 OBO and a buyer offers 7$ I will say 90. If he then says 85 I'll say deal . If he offers 8$ I will wait 47 hours and then say 89.99 .
Rather than immediately blocking try using every minute of your 48 hours on the second or 3rd offer just to screw with them. For even more fun if an ebay bucks promotion is ongoing you could wait until the bonus period expires before replying just to jam them up .
Did you see that pendejo's offer?!!?! Where did this hair come from?!?
To the board!
