Unfortunately no new pick-up to post, but if I was going to pick something up it would probably be this!!!
Here's hoping some board members get them!
Edited: Dang that was fast, the link was to a FASC 84 Topps Football rack box... but it gone! Now they have this! Although I'd rather have the 84 regular rack FASC box than the 86 grocery rack FASC box.
When 5X bucks came a callin', it was time for me to add this sniper to my collection. As this season has progressed, Steph has really grown on me -- on and off the court. If you don't follow the NBA intently, he does things like this.
I'm not a modern guy by any stretch, thus my head nearly exploded when I perused his sea of cardboard. With the clock ticking down, I ultimately decided on this pop 1 Euro sticker that wasn't released here in the States. Go right ahead young man and complete that trifecta (reg season MVP, championship ring, Finals MVP)...
Recently acquired this Green Cobb. Already have a Red earlier this year..working on the batt on/off versions next to complete a 4 Cobb display i been wanting to do. Not sure if i want to do a complete 'raw' set or re-grade to to SGC. GREEN COBB
Thanks for reminding me of the great feeling when I completed my 75 sox set with the rice RC! I also have always liked that 74 #1 Aaron card. Great pickups!
Wow guys, GREAT cards. From the Cobb picture/auto to the Cobb greenie, to the Eddie Matthews to the Topps Chrome Kobe rookie. It's fun to see everyone's collecting taste. I picked up 5 more T206's that puts me at 106.
Variety in this thread each month has been great. So many remarkable pickups.
These just arrived Friday. Plus a raw Curry Gold RC due Wednesday, which should make it in time for May special. Been getting into modern BK lately. If it weren't for the Warriors, I'd be pulling for Cleveland to get its title. But the Golden State team is as much fun as I've had watching NBA in a long time. The whole team is fun.
52-90 All Sports, Mostly Topps, Mostly HOF, and some assorted wax.
Man, that Green Cobb is my ideal version of that card. That Flood/Brock is true perfection. 56 Koufax is GORGEOUS. 52 Ed is also the exact type I'd want.
And JMACIU-- wow. Every single one of those hits the eye fantastically. Those 75s and that 74 Aaron are not normally seen that beautifully framed. Amazing haul. Great to look at on a lazy holiday chilling.
Well, nothing expensive, but here is what I got in the last couple of weeks.
First, the '64 Stand-Ups. I obtained all of these raw a couple of months ago and just got them back from PSA. The Mazeroski was a gift from fellow board member Bobby Porter. (Thanks Bobby.) The other 5 were picked up from Kit Young (along with two PSA graded Stand Ups). 2 came back the same grade as Kit advertised and the other 3 came back 1 grade less than advertised. The prices were good and I pretty much expected the grades to come back a bit lower. I now need 19 PSA slabbed cards to complete the set.
I also picked up these low graded cards from a small auction house. For $58.00 delivered for all 4 I couldn't argue. I'm going to start picking up older cards of NY players that present well for their grade. The "T" cards either have paper loss or a stamp on the reverse.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Thanks Mark. I know you are the new T-206 Maven. I enjoy seeing your new pickups for the set!

Mark, your T-206 collection is really impressive, even to a 70s Topps guy like me.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

<< <i>Mark ... when did you start that T-206 set? >>
Doug, I started in Jan 2013. My goal was to hit 50 cards/year so I am on target and the ride is a blast. Awesome job on your Stand-Up's. I think they are one of the more underrated sets.
That's actually one of the best overall eye appealing examples of the Wilt that I've ever laid eyes on. What a special pick up. Wonder how many out of a hundred look like that?! Thanks for sharing that card.
Just picked up this Ted Simmons rookie card. This card has everything I like in a '71...dark blacks, no tilt, decently centered, nice corners. Overall, a nice 8!
<< <i>I always wanted a Wilt Rookie. Not the strongest example, but I liked the centering and overall eye appeal for the grade:
>>
Conrats on the Wilt rookie. I saw it when it first listed but decided not to go for it because I have one already. That is a very strong looking card for the grade. Welcome to the Wilt Rookie Club. Here is mine that I picked up a while back. Finding centered Chamberlain rookies are next to impossible. Thanks for sharing.

Agreed - amazing 3! That 6 ain't bad either
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.
Thanks everyone for the comments on the PSA 3 Wilt. I'm excited to have it in hand.
That PSA 6 Wilt above is closer to my ideal card of him. Beautiful centering, and much stronger corners than my 3. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on mine, and the seller had a "best offer" option. It was listed for a short time, and he accepted my offer. I didn't want to lose it as the centering is what I really was looking for. Most are pretty OC to an extreme. Card in hand looks very nice, I'm excited to add it to my vintage collection.

Awesome Mathews! I'm looking for a 2. Tough card.
The Cobb picture with auto is stunning. It perfectly demonstrates how he played the game.
John, the Brock/Flood, Rose, and Morgan RC stopped my in my tracks. The corners, color, and registration are awesome. Nice work.
The Mathews card presents well too.
I am waiting on a couple cards, so I hope to add something to this thread soon...

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Not sure if i want to do a complete 'raw' set or re-grade to to SGC.
GREEN COBB
Next, I have a couple Hammerin' Hanks. The 1968 was added from the B/S/T via Counselor
Finally, I picked up my favorite Brett card. I just love the action shot. The snow is not on the card.
