Dan, I think I'm going to pick up the Bird and Parrish as well. Loved those 80's Celtics!
Here's the cap to a pretty good mail week for me. A new shiny patchy addition to my Brian McCann collection. The crap next to his shoulder is gunk on my scanner that I'm too lazy to clean apparently.

I bought another lot of raw autos from GolfCollector on the BST forum. It's at least the 4th time I've bought from him, and it always goes smoothly. I won't show all the autos, but these are my 2 favorites
That's HOFer and Red Sox great Bobby Doerr on the bottom. I've wanted to add his auto for a while.
Love checking in on this thread. Some great pickups by everyone!
That 1960 Clemente is amazing. Hope you hold it for good this time. I've been there with you staring at cards obsessively trying to understand the grade. Eventually, it will pass

The Clockwork Angel Collection...brought to you by Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Chase TheClockworkAngelCollection

In keeping with my apparent '60 motif this month, I'm very pleased to have landed this Mickster last night. I'm hopeful that the snow showers are actually a sea of lint, but if not, all good. Also appears to be a white vertical line crossing his forearm, and if that's on the card it's something I can live with. If anything, just a reminder that it's a 55-year-old baseball card. My basic criteria for cardboard is nanosecond eye appeal, and this piece passed the test.
30 Wills 'Famous Golfers' Hagen, 39 Mars Confectionary 'Famous Film Stars' W.C. Fields (last one I needed from this set for oddball golf cards) 54 Topps Scoops Hogan (tough early Hogan card, high number in this set), 26 W590 Macfarlane (my first from this set, just missed the Sarazen from the same seller)
ETA: galaxy, I had to go back and make sure I still had my 60 Mantle. That looks almost exactly like my PSA4.5, gorgeous card!
to DJR- one heck of a nice Greenie Cobb there. I took a few steps myself this year into pre-war. I am wanting to do a 4 cobb run. Already landed a nice untombed Red from a AH this year. I seen some very nice green ones (from my other forum) and it was a indeed nice PSA 4. But it sold already. I'm trying to find one with not some many creases, and yours fits my description needs.
I LOVE the writing on the back of that Ryan-- shows someone really was into it back in the day. Perfect example of the technical TPG rules creating an awesome value. Reminds me of the fantastic Ruth RC that Heritage a ways back, where someone basically scored the game on the card, or my boy Todd's Bazooka Mick where some kid put all Mick's stats on the back in painstaking detail. If the eye appeal is all there, not only does the writing make it a sick steal, but it also adds tremendous character. Makes it really desirable, to me at least. Congrats!
And that Green Cobb up there is gorgeous.
The 60 Mick hits the eye off the bat so nice, and rare centering for that card-- amazing value right there. Same for the Goudey.
Great stuff on here. Here are a couple of my additions. I've been wanting a Norm Cash auto for quite some time and jumped on this one. Also a Cal Ripken Jr. Auto to the HOF PC

I've been salivating over this one for about a month now ever since I saw it listed in Heritage Auctions. It's been a SLOW month as I've been anxiously waiting for the auction to end.
It went for more than I had hoped to snag it for, but I couldn't let it go. I've seen a few of these images sell over the years, but I haven't seen one with this bold of a sig. Went back and forth with someone in extended bidding last night, but that bidder finally dropped out.
In my opinion (and I realize that I'm very biased LOL), the best Ty Cobb signed 8x10 photo that I've seen. Supposedly, it's inscribed to a Heisman Trophy winner and his wife in the early 40's, but I didn't care about that association, as I bought it because of the Peach.
A stellar quality signature on one of the most famous baseball images ever, Cobb stealing third base, picturing Cobb and Jimmy Austin, image taken by the great Charles Conlon.
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

That is a terrific card, Eric~a former PSA 10 that's just a bit rough around the edges but still a beauty, lol...First one at Miller's is on you!

Mike,
Awesome autograph of the Georgia Peach. I bet it was a nerve racking time going through that auction all the way to the end!
Handful of items just returned from Derrick's Blue Flip sub and a couple other pickups. Jim Rice's "signature" is killing me, but I needed it for my signed Topps All-Star Rookie collection. Sigh.

<< <i>Just arrived in the mail. Pretty tough '71 card of Brooks Robinson. It looks much nicer and blacker in hand.

That is an awesome looking Brooks. Looks like it has a shot at a .5 grade bump. A very nice addition. Congrats!

from PWCC, I think I got a decent price because they had 3 or 4 of the same card & same grade?

Eric--That is a sweetly centered MJ RC. Tough to find 9's that well centered.
Jim--The Berk Ross Ted Williams is off the charts cool. The Stargell RC looks like an 8+. Congrats on a very nice month!

I wish I could take credit for the Stargell, but that's CBDs. His taste in logos is as fine as his taste in cards.

63 Clemente 6 is right up my alley.
