Can't seem to find the legislation on the America The Beautiful

5 oz rounds. Why are they selling at $154.95 at the mint? That seems sooo high based on the price
of silver today, and last week, month, etc. Is there not a formula that they have to follow for pricing?
thanks,

The 5oz ATB Quarters are the P mintmark which are issues for collectors. The selling price has been 154.95 for a while now. There is no formula to adjust silver prices as there is with gold and Platinum. The silver prices are adjusted periodically, but it is a bid production (like changing the price of postage). The change has to be published in the Federal Register and a committee set the new price. While the price is being adjusted no silver sale can take place.

Thanks, now I know why my search was so futile.

All worldwide Mint silver products are overpriced. The US Mint's "overprice" is small compared to the rest. Be thankful.

Do people really expect the Mints to sell stuff at cost?

I wonder how many of the 5oz blanks were ordered during the higher silver days. They might be sitting on some expensive rounds for these still....?

Very unlikely with the numerous sell outs for both versions over the years.

Mmm, maybe to some like yourself. Personally, I like them, along with the designs and low mintage's, when you compare them to the SAE's.
