PS: What is up with this shipment? Seller sent my hat FEDEX and now it is out for delivery by USPS.

    Your hat was probably sent by FedEx Smartpost. FedEx handles the shipment until it nears the final destination and then turns it over to the post office for delivery. From my own experience, it is a slow but reliable system.

    Smartpost and its UPS counterpart seem to be getting a lot more use in recent weeks. The December 29th rate increase in FedEx and UPS rates, which included a different way of calculating the rate (weight + package size are considered) seems to have really caused a shipping shakeup at many firms.

    For your hat pin, why not commission a custom made hobo nickel.

    Any of the new 2015 marshals commemoratives. The gold eagle reverse on the gold commems is nice.
