I like the original skin of this piece, and I cant help but wonder, if the san fran mint was alive and well in 1791 why didn't they mint any coins until 1854 ?

I see this stuff from time to time that listing says a lot about the seller being a complete s cumbag. Normally they list them as novelty pieces. Then of course this seller is not normal.image

Yup. In 1791, San Francisco wasn't even U.S. territory.

OOOOOOOHHH!!! How dare you post this before the auction is over. You just ruined any chance I had of a cherrypick.image
OF Course it is real. There is nothing phony in Ireland.!!! It is a super rare pre-issue, pre-mint pattern and is the last one I needed for my collection. Now you let the cat out of the bag and my $1.00 max bid will not hold up. image

I wonder how many bidiots this one will entice. anyone so unaware of what they are buying deserves to be ripped off.

A counterfeit coin, even though the U.S. Mint did not strike a 1791-S Trade Dollar.
