He catches the ball with both hands comes down on his feet at the 5 yard line....takes 2 steps (at this point it is a catch) lunges pushing off with a foot. His first body contact is his elbow at which time the ball is almost on the goal line.
It's a dead ball at that point....Dallas 1st and goal at the 1 inch line.......game Dallas. I think Murray get's 1 inch in 4 try's.
Just look at the clip. It's a catch and run.... lunge at the end zone and everyone should be able to see that.
I'm not disputing the process of going to the ground rule. He already had gone to the ground on his feet.....made the steps and lunge......then went to ground.

First you say it was three steps, now you say two steps. The fact is, the ball touched the turf on his way down making the catch and by rule that is an incomplete pass. There was no "football move" after he tumbled into the end zone. Nothing else matters. The rule is clear and clearly stated. The head of NFL officiating and former VP of NFL officiating Mike Pereira BOTH said the reversal was correct. But we're supposed to take the word of a clearly biased Cowboy fan, instead? LOL! You got a gift from the refs last week~just be happy you even got as far as Lambeau. You got beat, plain and simple, and by a Packer team with a clearly limited Aaron Rodgers. As for no one cares about the Pack outside of Wisconsin I would beg to differ. There are Apps for your smart phone to find the closest Packer bar to watch a game when you are on vacation. Heck you can find them outside of the country. I have a Packer tattoo and get comments on every vacation from Packer fans. We are everywhere. Born and raised in Green Bay and would not have it any other way. GO PACK!
A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) if a player, who is inbounds:
(a)secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and
(b)touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and
(c)maintains control of the ball long enough, after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, to enable him to perform any act common to the game (i.e., maintaining control long enough to pitch it, pass it, advance with it, or avoid or ward off an opponent, etc.).
"Maintains control of the ball long enough to enable him to perform any act common to the game" is the operative phrase. I still think Dez was attempting to extend his arm with the ball and score, otherwise he would have glued it to his belly as he came to the ground on 4th down. But before he could make a full-fledged attempt that would constitute a "football move," he ran out of air space. Awfully close, but incomplete.

<< <i>Nobody cares about GB except people from Wisconsin!!I don't care if you win or lose!!i think it was a great game and the play of the game was Murray's fumble. He scores on that run and was the reason Dallas lost. >>
agreed, that was the play that lost it for you.
GO PACK!
Tell me your version of those 15 feet!
Awfully close, but incomplete.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
How you can read those rules and not see it as a catch is just being a Cowboy hater.

The same refs who giftwrapped you guys a win the previous week vs Detroit now are Cowboy haters for correctly following the rule?

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
