I know this is a bit off topic, but I thought this was interesting enough to share none the less.

    Darn, no value estimate? image

What an incredible piece of U.S. history. What's even more incredible is how it survived this long!

Don't worry about it one bit. It won't disrupt the posting of foreign coins.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

"Given the date of currency printed with the leaf block, issued by the province of Delaware in 1760, this particular block was almost certainly cast not by Franklin but by his successor David Hall."

Lost in a collection is shameful. Hoarders of history should not be praised.

    Amen.

Most people aren't aware that he is considered "The First American". Not to take anything away from the American Indian, in that respect.
Also , from the digital age of electrons, we wouldn't have silicon… or solid state , or any of that . We wouldn't have Ohm's law if Ben weren't holding the "key" on a string, as history would have it.

Ben Franklin is one of my personal American heroes. Not bad for an immigrant, anyway.
