A friend was selling his duplicate Buffalos a few months ago,
this coin caught my eye, as its my Mom's birth year...

My feeling is that you are at least 8 points too low. >>

I would say that he is nine, maybe ten points too low, I am on an iPad, and I have learned to avoid trying to give precision grades from it.

    Darrell,

The "S" is there - twice actually - in STATES.....image

Love the grade attempts .... It's an NGC 58.......image

Oh...forgot...image.....the Photos are from YN, Mike Valente / Valente151
I invited him to Thanksgiving as he is from Maine and goes to college
in Orlando. While visiting, he imaged all the Barber Dimes and Quarters
that I did not have editited shots of. ( 104 coins ) ... Plus he imaged a
half dozen or so for my friend and fellow Barber enthusiast, Srotag.
The actual assembly of images ( OBV, REV and Inserts ) will be done on
CHRISTMAS break. So, stay tuned for lots of images after the Holidays.

AU-58? I think that might be in line for a gold sticker.

Where ever the rub was that kept this from being in an MS holder sure isn't obvious from the picture.

    Great looking nickel

The rims being a bit beat up suggests the coin has seen some action.

Now that we have a new system to post upon, I ran across this older Thread,
and this 1921 NGC 58 Buffalo was crossed - raw - into a PCGS 62 holder & CAC
    agreed !
