Just setting up the thread now. Gonna rip these bad boys and post the results once I get them.

Didn't really want ten of these but that's how they came so that's what I did.

Really, really, really want to join the PSA 10 Hendu club. Probably my favorite card of all time.

    Best of luck with those boxes. I hope you find not only PSA 10 Hendu, but maybe a Gem Mint Ryan, Brett, or Rose too.

    Thanks! Problem is those suckers have to be perfect to gamble on the sub! 9s won't do.

    There are some interesting tough cards in 1980 to look for if I recall correctly.

    9 Ryan's sell for upwards of 60.00 with centered 9s moving toward the 80.00+ range. I'd definitely be submitting mint Ryans to help you with re-coupe costs.

    good luck , i busted 15 boxes a few years back and all the hendersons were 7/8ish do to centering. I got bailed out because my boxes were filled with yellow name variations.

    I did open a few boxes in the mid 90's which I graded a few henderson 9's back when I first got into grading

    FYI ... here is a list of some of the cards that sell for $30.00 or more in PSA "9":

    68, 88, 140, 149, 401, 482, 580, 590, 602, 620, 641 and 706.

    And has been said already, look for those YELLOW NAMES!

    I pulled a PSA 9 Henderson from my last box and an 8 along with it. Actually the 8 looks better than the 9!

    You are doing this wrong if you want a Rickey PSA 10-- you must post every thread speaking in the third person. Bonus points for cool statements like "I have a photogentic memory."

    All kidding aside (maybe not), Rickey is Matt's all time favorite player so Matt wishes you the best!

    I was a huge fan when he was on the Yankees and it was always a laugh when he used to say that he hurt his "hammy" (which was quite often).

    Good luck, I popped a couple from BBCE with many slightly OC and a few with a ding. One of the few cards that looked like a 9 was a Rickey rookie. Best of luck!

    I will also take less blurry photos. It was too early in the morning for me.

    I think this box is promising based on the small sample size.

    awesome start it looks like for centering! should get lots of carew's and Yaz's, they are DP's for 1980 IIRC

    I could deal with a lot of Carews and Yazs. It's the Dick Dragos and Steve Renkos I want to cut down on!

    Just for completists, of the above batch, only the Matula is particularly difficult.

    looks like a solid 8.5 or 9 there. will hold out for a couple of 10's youre gonna break outta there!!!
