1979 topps football cello box project!

over the past few months, i have been putting together a 1979 topps football cello box...these have been a challenge to track down, as they dont seem to be nearly as plentiful as baseball cellos from 79...i have finally accumulated 24 nice packs, just need a display box and a blessing from bbce and she is complete!

    Most of these packs came directly from bbce and several great board members! Thanks again to those who helped me put this one together!

    If you're willing to part ways with that Cowboy's leaders pack and can come to an agreeable price with Blee so he can finish off his Dorsett run, I will send you a 1979 cello I picked up from BBCE at no charge (I'll even cover the shipping).

    This was no small feat; as previously mentioned, unopened availability for 79T FB (especially cellos & racks) is a fraction of its hardball counterpart.

    Now get that box so you can do this thing properly! image

    Cowboys pack is sweet. Nice offer Scott. Be cool to see a pair of projects finished.

    Good luck finding the box. I'll keep my eyes open.

    I still need to check with bbce on a display box...i see they still have 78 cellos and im pretty sure the 78 and 79 cello display box was the same...anyone know for sure?

    Yup, 1978 and 1979 cellos are the same box.

    1981 and 1982 cello boxes use the same color scheme, but are a different height since the cards per pack were higher.
