Autographed Boarding Passes

I posted this over at Net54, but someone suggested I post this here, too. When I was younger, I was lucky enough to meet a lot of ball players while working at local autograph signings. One day when I was about 14, I was working with Enos Slaughter and his used boarding pass fell out of his coat pocket. He went to throw it away, and noticing his name was printed on it, I asked him to autograph it for me instead. Little did I know that request was to take me down an interesting side-road to autograph collecting. Having just gotten the "The Captain" back from a Steiner signing, I thought I'd share some Yanks!
And while this one doesn't really "fit" with the collection, it was too cool to pass up when it came up for sale (Elston Howard's QE2 custom's declaration form):

And not just baseball...
John Mackey (Baltimore Colts Football HOF'er) thought the idea was so interesting, he continued to send me his boarding passes for years after we met! It's just a testament to what a generous man he was, but every 6 months or so, I'd get a card in the mail with 4 or 5 boarding passes that John had saved from his flights. I probably have 20 of them, each autographed a little differently.

Anyone have an idea how to protect that?

stupid print dots
<< <i>The Mariano Riviera should be protected somehow. Reason I say this is I pull out a receipt from Home Depot from 7-8 years ago for my furnace for warranty work. The receipt was basically useless. I could barley read a thing on it. It was stored in a plastic folder attached to the intake of the furnace so it did not get hot.

I hear you - I wish I knew a way. Unfortunately lamination (which I would absolutely consider doing) won't protect it from what I understand. I think it's one of those things that will just fade with time. For the most part, I have it stored in a safe, which I hope affords it some protection.

Heat is the issue, if you photo it, it might black out.
<< <i>Very unique collection. Nice. I noticed many boarding passes denote a ALB/SCH'DY destination. The players were either on their way to the HOF in Cooperstown via ALB. airport (players for HOF weekend usually fly into Albany,NY then are driven from there to Cooperstown,NY) or on their way to a signing session at the Polish Community Center which had many shows in the 80's-2000's in Albany,NY. >>
All the Albany flights were for signings at the Polish Community Center. I used to help Ed Keetz at the shows, and had the opportunity to meet all of the players.
