    scarcer, yes .... demand is marginal at best. It's a question of supply and demand.

  • IMHO Platinum has a big image problem. Sadly as scarce as it is, it is not as sexy as gold and looks a lot like silver. It is more likely to be associated with a catalytic converter than fine jewlery or cool coinage.
    Forget that it is 10 times as scarce as gold, if it don't bring the bling it sits in the back seat.
