I'm rooting for congress, tbtf bankers, college profs, unemployed political activists and CEO's of large multinationals to be forced into playing by the same set of rules that I'm forced to live by. That might seem like the end of the world to some, but it would be fun to watch.

How did college profs end up on this list? Being an engineering graduate student and knowing what a lot of professors earn (public knowledge), I can attest that the 95% of college profs work much too hard for what little money they receive.

While I feel your pain (and applaud your wife's service), it is important to note that many college level academia choose to use their position to assist in social engineering by what they plant in developing minds. I have a family member who is a prime example; he believes it is his job to promote the socialist agenda.
Many of our universities have come under the influence of Washington dollars and will go along with the master plan in order to continue receiving Washington dollars. Washington is known to reward and penalize accordingly - most recently demonstrated with the global warming movement. It would be interesting to hear you wife's take on whether or not she ever witnessed any "influence" or "guidance" from her dept. head.
