Not much in the past couple boxes, but came across more "gum" cards while sorting. Still four boxes to go in the first case. The mini Kinsler is sharp.
Some of these relics are sick! I especially like the Stargell/McCutchen double and the Puig box topper. I'll be buying some retail as soon as it's available and I'll be looking to trade. I'm not a set collector, I'm in it for the fun of trading.
Still sorting through cards, but overall I'm pleased with the case.
One Master Set! Plus...
24 Purple Chrome 1 Black Chrome (Puig) 1 mini (Kinsler) SSP Chris Sale (wrong player on front) Jim Dickson red ink auto Stargell/McCutchen Dual relic /66 10 of those annoying relic cards 6 Chrome Refractors 14 Chrome 1 Blue Back 7 "Gum Stain" backs
I know I'm missing a few, I still have tons to sort through and check for SSP errors. The Chris Sale card just jumped out at me because I had the action image one sitting right there. The other two cases will have to wait until tomorrow. Looks like we will be iced in in Dallas.
Got some red HOF ink, pic will come later. But for now, this is the question. Is these last two numbers (59) or (53) on the first pic. 59's are error variations and 53's are regular cards. I can't find any difference on the front nor the back so maybe it's just a print defect.
Stopped by Nick's Card Shop in Dallas to tide myself other since my case got weather delayed....
Not too shabby. I believe the 1st Kershaw is a banner/text color swap 1:140 packs
The Samardzija chrome pictures him with Oakland, but his base card is as a White Sox. Topps has done this before - Kinsler/Fielder last year, Arod in 2001 come to mind.

I didn't know about banner color swap while sorting through my first case...now have to go back. Haha. Then it's on to case number two.
<< <i>Can someone answer this...if I check the card number on the back bottom is the any chance I will miss an SSP?
Thanks >>
I've found it to be reliable Walt. Even though the last few years I haven't opened as much, the code is how I check. The image posted by Chris? looks like a print misfire.
I think the stamp/coin cards are stupid. But some other nice hits. Love the Sanchez card. I live an hour away from the Jay's Double A affiliate and got to see him pitch.
I'm eager to do some trading, so hopefully the local Wally World gets some in soon!
<< <i>I think I saw Brent (from brentandbecca) post on Blowout that they were not coded any differently. I'll see if I can find that comment and link it.

Walt this is not a reliable method unless you have super bionic eyes or an electron microscope!

I use a magnifying glass or a loupe or I have one of those lights with a magnifying lens. In good light I can see them fine.

I think I saw Brent (from brentandbecca) post on Blowout that they were not coded any differently. I'll see if I can find that comment and link it.
