joe orlando requested to see the card, we shipped it to him fedex
I personally checked the card, the psa cert number ran in the psa database and I tried to open the card with my fingernails , and the holder was sealed when I checked it....
psa told me it was a real card inside a resealed holder....
a high level dealer came to our office the day we posted it and thought everything was fine as well...
psa called me , told me if was resealed, and I contacted ebay to end the listing....
This is my first reply to this post or the PSA forums.
I'm the guy who gave the 1993 SP Derek Jeter RC to consign with Rick.
The card was offered prior on eBay by user Id: lukie2ndchance under eBay auction number: 171413491034. The guys name is Luke Leonard or John Leonard from West Hampton Beach, NY. If you guys have any information on this guy please pass it on to me. I will give it to the local police, FBI, and my lawyer. He also has another eBay Id that I currently don't have on me but if it helps I can get it. I wrote to the guy several times but he blocked me on eBay and is not responding to my eMails. This experience was a huge financial lost for me.
Rick did the right thing sending the card back to PSA. The card is still with PSA removed from the case. I didn't know the card was fake until the card was sent to PSA. So don't bash on Rick he does an excellent job in the hobby. He wanted to offer a great card to the collectors and nothing else.
<< <i>You paid 999.00 for it? So you bought this after August 12? Then consigned it to Rick a few days later? I am confused, sorry... >>
I'm guessing he paid way more than that..... Probably asked the seller how much to end the auction and the they agreed on a price.
Edit: I think you should use the resolution center and try to get your money back ASAP. You have PSA on your side so I think you would win that case even if you paid direct threw paypal. Good luck!

<< <i>What's the deal with the jeter in the link that Dpeck provided? Is this card in a fake flip too? Is it a forgery? >>
It is the original listing of the example that was being auctioned off.
