Great thread. I am so headed in this direction. Nothing excites me more lately than "old gold." Recently picked-up a few pieces myself that are going in my box of (I mean boxes) of 20. :-)

Love your Classic Head Liberty, AJ.....link is now broken. A JJS Gold Bean is most welcomed. OGIM.....nice coin......looks like a true F15. Broadstruck clever and funny as usual. RYK, love your 'low as can go' dirty gold.....glad you are still posting also. Great group of $2½ gold, Boosibri. Very nice '55 messydesk. And thank you for all the nice compliments from the forum members.
Now here is another $2½ old dirty gold I picked up 2 months ago....as AJ said, it's a Classic Head....but it's still Lady Liberty.
Great coins everybody. Noting better than some well circulated old gold. Especially from the branch mints.
Sadly I have no low graded quarter eagles and I really want to play so if you all will indulge me and allow me to raise by 50 cents here is my contribution.
