At what price do you sell your silver; what price ...

for your gold or other PM's. Do you keep any, or sell it all hoping to buy it back at a lower price. Do you sell it all, walk away and say I'm done, there are better ways to spend my money. Take care. jws

  • At no price, unless there is a collapse of the economy. Even then I have enough food water, ammo supplies to last 2 years. I will barter with some if necessary and if circumstances permit I will use for new money system.

IF ?? Other wise it goes to my sons when I am dead.

I will sell some to flip into gold, but the price is too low now to sell for spending. I'd rather take from another investment first.
Bet a lot of people have bailed out even taking a loss but not talking about it.

Recently I can't sell it for spot +1 anymore and I don't want to keep chasing it downward so it sits.

There certainly could be better ways to invest money right now, until something changes, then say I wish I bought PMs.

I'm keeping what I have because its a percentage goal that I planned for and gives me some artificial sense of security.

The two significant sales of silver for me have been into parabolic spikes. Once in January 1980 and more recently in April 2011. I sold the rest early 2013 to lighten the load... I am now sniffing at getting back in. I said here 6 months ago that $15-$17 would look like a time to back up the truck. What do I know? But I like what I am seeing.

I do not sell.... it stays and unless there is a major financial disaster in my lifetime, it will be here after I go...Cheers, RickO

Sold my 1st. stash during the Hunt run, consisted of silver coinage collected from circulation; biggest surprise of my life. Slowly accumulated a bullion stash and sold 1/2 last run. Recently started a slow accumulation to replace what I sold. I'll sell 1/2 on any run to forty. I just like silver and enjoy holding it for a sense of security. No problem for me if my son gets it, I'm fairly certain he won't mind. Take care. jws

I'd sell at a reasonable price above cost since it seems to be cyclical enough that one is almost assured of being able to buy it back cheaper.

Just like any asset, with a reasonable profit or an attempt to limit my losses. You win a few and loose some. Not accumulating for a possible SHTF or doomsday possibility. PM's will just be chunks of metals in that scenario not worth a pack of cigarettes or finger nail clippers. image

Next time I can get $44/oz for junk silver, it all goes. Fooled me once, fooled me twice, not gonna fool me again.

I just got a brilliant idea , sterling silver fingernail clippers would serve a dual purpose in a post-apocalyptic world a tool and a store of value

I suppose they wouldn't hold a very good edge if you actually used them image

If silver stabilizes above $85 or so for more than a week or two, I'd consider it imprudent not to sell about 1/3 of my holdings.

A guy I work with was going to buy some ASE's as a local place for roughly $5 over spot. I had just purchased some gold off Ebay, to get the bonus bucks, so sold him 5 at $2.50 over to help pay for it. That, and I had extra's and I feel weird when they aren't in tubes of 20.
